Practice medicine the way you once imagined medicine could be practiced.
Signature Medicine is a well-established, independent, physician-led adult concierge primary care practice that has served the Newtown, Pennsylvania community for 20 years. As we enter our next stage of thoughtful growth, we are seeking an exceptional Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our practice in a full-time, long-term employed position.
Our membership-based concierge model gives physicians something increasingly difficult to find in conventional primary care: time.
Time to listen. Time to think. Time to research an unfamiliar question. Time to personally follow through after an important diagnosis. Time to coordinate care across specialists. And increasingly, time to practice proactively rather than reactively, helping patients understand and reduce risk before disease develops.
The Medicine
This is comprehensive adult primary care with an increasing emphasis on prevention, healthy aging and healthspan.
Our clinical interests include:
- Cardiometabolic risk reduction
- Exercise and physical function
- Nutrition and healthy weight
- Women's health through perimenopause and menopause
- Bone health
- Sleep and cognitive health
- Cancer screening
- Thoughtful, evidence-based evaluation of emerging diagnostics and technologies
We also continue to practice the breadth of adult medicine, including acute and chronic disease management, diagnostic evaluation, ownership of patient problems, specialist collaboration and longitudinal care coordination.
Adult patients only. No pediatrics. No obstetrics.
The Physician-Patient Relationship
Much smaller patient panels and much longer visits allow physicians to truly know their patients: to listen, understand what matters in their lives, communicate personally when it matters, and develop meaningful longitudinal relationships.
We believe excellent medicine requires both clinical rigor and human connection.
Lower patient volume does not mean lower expectations. It creates both the opportunity and responsibility to provide a higher level of physician engagement.
A Different Way to Practice
- Smaller patient panel
- Longer patient visits
- No high-volume RVU treadmill
- Independent physician leadership
- Collaborative clinical team
- Shared, generally low-volume call
- Greater opportunity for longitudinal patient relationships
- Time to think deeply about patient care and remain intellectually curious
- Opportunity to help shape the continued growth of an established independent practice
You will have the time to know your patients, think deeply about their care, practice proactively rather than reactively, and continue becoming a better physician.
Physician Quality of Life
We believe excellent patient care and a sustainable physician career should reinforce one another.
Our practice model is intentionally designed to avoid many of the pressures associated with high-volume primary care. Smaller patient panels, longer visits, physician autonomy, a collaborative team and a generally low-volume shared call structure create a more sustainable clinical rhythm and more time to practice medicine thoughtfully.
We want our physicians to build meaningful careers without sacrificing the rest of their lives. The goal is not simply fewer patients, but a professional environment that supports excellent care, intellectual engagement, strong patient relationships and a healthy long-term career.
An Exceptional Place to Live and Raise a Family
Signature Medicine is located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a highly desirable suburban community with a strong community feel, excellent access to parks, recreation, dining and cultural amenities, and highly regarded public and private schools.
The surrounding Council Rock School District is well regarded academically, with both district high schools currently ranked among the top 100 high schools in Pennsylvania by U.S. News & World Report.
Newtown also offers an unusual geographic advantage: the quality of life of a suburban Bucks County community while remaining within convenient reach of Philadelphia, Princeton and New York City. Bucks County sits along the Philadelphia-New York corridor, with Princeton approximately 20 miles away and Philadelphia and New York readily accessible by the regional highway and rail network.
